CSI: Kerr County 08Saturday, April 19th, volunteers from across the county worked as a community for our community. Over 280 volunteers from 26 groups worked on 22 projects. Projects included home fix-ups and repairs, yard clean-up, projects identified by the city, clean up for nonprofits and Town Creek clean up. David Martin, Youth Pastor at First Baptist church, had almost 20 young people working that day on several projects. "We had a great day and it truly was a pleasure to be part of it. My thought to the group before we headed out was, "You will never be more like God than when you are giving," said David. One elderly gentleman who was served said with tears in his eyes, "My house looks so beautifu lnow. Thank you!" The Fix-It Angels of Kerrville Church of Christ along with Alpha Lambda Delta and the Mountaineer Racketball Club from Schreiner University worked on his mobile home Saturday. Such comments were abundant through the day for those who were being served by CSI volunteers. Donors included Culligan Water, Foxworth Galbraith, Home Town Crafts, Kerr County Produce, Lowes, MG Building Materials, McCoys, Petroleum Equipment Service, Inc, Plaza on the River, Sodexho, and T.J.
